This page will detail all of the techniques that I use to make my products absolutely top notch! I know what children can do to things and I live by the word durable! When looking at a product, you can click on certain words to be directed here to read all about the way and the why I do what I do!
Applique-Applique litterally means to attach one piece of fabric to another. When you applique you can simply sew one peice atop the other, or you can fuse the top piece for added durability. Once fused, you can either straight stitch on top of the fabric or set your machine to a tight zig-zag stitch and go all around the top fabric to create that signature applique look. Every item I applique is permamnently fused, zig-zag stitched and straight stitched so that you can be sure this item will stand the test of time.
Topstitch- To top stitch means to stitch on top of a fabric, i.e. where it can be seen by looking at the garment. Often this is done for decoration, but for many of my products it is also done as an extra measure of durability.
Double Stitched- For me, when I double stitch an item it means that the item is stitched once, usually flipped insie out and stitched again along the top or sides. Again, this just adds one more bit of security and durability-two important things when making products for baby.
